We engaged with the Head of Trust Services to re- platform 20 Root CA’s from the existing End of Life vendor platform to a new strategic platform. As this migration path was not documented or vendor supported, we structured a feasibility project to prove that it could be achieved before fully documenting a repeatable engineering process to execute on the live Roots. ​

Provide a fully documented and tested engineering approach to platform migration including prerequisites, detailed migration steps, engineering documentation and validation testing scripts.​

It was an undocumented process, which the vendor said was not possible, providing no support, guidance or tooling to help our consultants prove the hypothesis that it could be achieved. We used our expert knowledge of HSM’s, the different vendor platforms, vendor tooling and bespoke coding to overcome these challenges and provide a repeatable and robust engineering process. ​
