Keyfactor Command 25.4: Elevating Certificate Lifecycle Management with Unified Intelligence

Explore what's new in Keyfactor Command 25.4, including EJBCA integration, enhanced risk visibility and custom dashboards. Discover how Unsung supports clients with expert PKI design, implementation and managed services.

At Unsung, we specialise in the design, implementation and management of complex PKI environments. As a Keyfactor partner with extensive experience supporting both Command and EJBCA, we enable clients to build scalable, policy-driven PKI services aligned to modern security and compliance requirements. The release of Keyfactor Command 25.4 introduces significant improvements across integration, usability and risk visibility that directly support this mission.

EJBCA Integration: One Interface for Profile Management

The new release introduces the ability to create and edit EJBCA certificate profiles directly within the Command UI. For teams operating hybrid PKI environments or managing high volumes of certificate requests, this means less context switching and more efficient profile configuration.

Certificate administrators can now define validity periods, key usage, certificate policies and even post-quantum algorithms such as SLH-DSA in a single workflow. This improvement aligns perfectly with our delivery focus: reducing operational complexity and ensuring high-assurance cryptographic services are easy to maintain and scale.

Simplified Navigation Enhances Daily Operations

Command 25.4 delivers a new left-hand navigation structure that replaces the previous top bar layout. The result is a cleaner, collapsible workspace that allows technical teams to focus on certificate workflows without unnecessary UI overhead.

This update is particularly relevant to organisations operating at scale or within security-sensitive environments, where task efficiency and screen real estate are not just preferences but operational necessities. For our managed service customers, this improvement supports smoother day-to-day administration and improves the overall user experience.

Dedicated Risk Intelligence Pane

In earlier versions of Command, certificate risk insights were embedded within metadata fields, requiring additional steps to access. Version 25.4 introduces a standalone Risk Intelligence tab, bringing potential certificate vulnerabilities to the forefront of the user interface.

This is a crucial improvement for clients who rely on certificate trust chains to protect sensitive infrastructure. By surfacing certificate risks more clearly, Command now better supports timely remediation and informed decision-making, which are essential in regulated or high-threat environments.

New Dashboard Widgets and Query Tools

With the addition of new dashboard widgets such as “Certificates Issued per Week” and “Certificates Revoked per Week,” along with a powerful Custom Query Widget, users now have greater control over how they visualise and monitor certificate data.

This enables teams to turn their dashboards into operational control centres, displaying live metrics that align with their internal KPIs and compliance reporting needs. Whether clients are tracking certificate renewal performance, revocation trends or crypto-agility readiness, these enhancements provide actionable insight.

Enabling Next-Generation CLM with Unsung and Keyfactor

At Unsung, we deliver fully integrated PKI systems that are ready for quantum resilience, Zero Trust adoption and hybrid-cloud architectures. Our PKI consultancy and managed services include the full deployment and ongoing support of platforms such as Keyfactor Command, combined with EJBCA or Microsoft CA.

Command 25.4 makes the platform easier to use, more powerful in risk analysis, and more flexible to customise. These qualities support the operational demands of both enterprise and government customers and match the approach we take in all our PKI engagements.

If you are considering an upgrade to your current CLM capability, or seeking to consolidate and modernise your PKI footprint, we would be pleased to discuss how Unsung can help you extract maximum value from the Keyfactor ecosystem.
