We engaged with the Head of Trust Services to re-platform 20 Root CA’s from the existing End of Life vendor platform to a new strategic platform. As this migration path was not documented or vendor supported, we structured a feasibility project to prove that it could be achieved before fully documenting a repeatable engineering process to execute on the Live Roots.
Outcomes & Deliverables
We provided a fully documented and tested engineering approach to platform migration including prerequisites, detailed migration steps, engineering documentation, and validation testing scripts.

Challenges Faced
The process was undocumented, and the vendor claimed it couldn’t be done, offering no support, guidance, or tools for our consultants to test the hypothesis. Leveraging our expertise in HSMs, various vendor platforms, tools, and custom coding, we overcame these obstacles and developed a reliable, repeatable engineering process.
